Its great that Maria has not only dreams of making a better life for her and her family, but is educating herself on how to actualy be able to pursue this dream. It may not seem like much, but the smallest amount of money and assistance can help her achieve her goal of having her own business, and creating a new life for her and her family. Microcredit is a fantastic idea that I dont think enough people know about; the smallest amount of money to us can make a world of a difference to people all over the world.
We take for granted our ability or possibility to move ahead in life. It is hard to think of the people who have things beyond their control stopping them.
Seeing Maria take that small loan and start on the path of making her dream for her family and herself come true really speaks to me. It is hard to imagine just how many other disadvantaged people can benefit from microcredit but the effect on their lives is unbelievable.

I had no idea that women had so much power and knowledge in microfinance in rural villages.
